Shirodhara Massage

Shirodhara is an Ayurvedic treatment of the head, in which a warm stream of oil is poured on the forehead. The time limit is adapted to your constitution and usually spans 20 to 30 minutes. Preceding the treatment you will be given a full body massage with warm, medicinal oil (abhyanga).
The treatment has a distinctively calming effect on the spirit and the senses. And will induce a deep sense of restfulness and inner peace. Shirodhara is traditionally used in treating psychological and mental affections, and all affections to the head and face.
Used in case of the following indications or symptoms:
Mental exhaustion, afflictions of the memory, stress, headache, insomnia, disease of the eye and ear, hyperactivity, concentration problems, anxiety, depression and several other psychological disorders.

The entire treatment (abhyanga and shirodhara) lasts for around 2 hours. I advise planning the treatment on the morning of an uneventful day, so you have time to fully rest and relax without having to keep on eye on the clock.
